Soleil Sales Center
The Soleil Center was a proposed 43-story skyscraper and condo-hotel planned for the Crabtree Valley area of Raleigh, North Carolina. The building, rising to 480 feet, was to be located adjacent to the Crabtree Mall on Glenwood Avenue, just north of the I-440 beltline, in an area sometimes referred to as "Midtown Raleigh" or "Uptown Raleigh." When completed, the Soleil Center would have become the second-tallest building in Raleigh and the Triangle.
The Soleil Center was designed to include a 290-room, four-star Westin Hotels & Resorts property, 54 condominiums, 100,000 square feet of office space, a spa, and a parking garage with 600 parking spaces. The estimated cost of the project was $175 million, to be funded through private investment by the Soleil Group. The Soleil Center Sales Center was envisioned as the initial point of contact for potential condominium residents, offering a place to tour and review unit layouts and possible interior finishes. The condominiums, officially named The Westin Raleigh Soleil Center Residences, were priced from $1 million, with penthouse apartments starting at $4.5 million, establishing them as the most expensive residential condominiums in the area.
